If you’re a fan of the unbreakable and tough NightForce rifle scopes, then get this – You’re going to be happy to find out that there are just as rugged and high-performing NightForce spotting scopes in the market, albeit a tiny one.

The same tight and robust build, superior glass clarity, and the first-class quality you get out of a NightForce rifle scope, is what you can expect to see it in their spotting scopes. For a brand that’s worth every ounce of glass, you need look no further than this NightForce spotting scope review.

Nightforce Spotting Scope Reviews

NightForce is one of those optics companies that believes in ruggedly testing out their products first before it goes to market.  And, the punishing durability tests it needs to surpass before it ever gets into a box on a shelf, cannot be repeated by any other brand.

NightForce is also known to have fanatical engineers, product designers, and testing teams that are just as obsessed with optics as even the most serious hunters.  Any spotter from them can be trusted to be the best, because NightForce will not settle to make anything less.

Their spotting scopes may not be as completely “bullet-proof” as their rifle scopes, but its magnesium alloy and aluminum bodies, thermal stability features, and high-end optical coatings have been through quite the shock test nonetheless.

With these shared features on their side, there’s little reason to be afraid of the most harshest hunting environments yet to be embarked upon.

NightForce TS-80 20-60X Review

nightforce ts 80 20-60xThis NightForce TS-80 has excellent ED glass, hydrophobic coatings, and a roof prism design.  It has a magnesium alloy body that’s fully weatherproof and a locking center focus ring.

Online there isn’t a decent enough reviewer base that I can brag about just yet, even though it currently sports a perfect rating, that’s only with one review that I could find at the time of writing.  I wouldn’t base your entire buying decision on it, but instead, let the features do all the talking.

The more affordable TS-80 is actually the second spotting scope that NightForce introduced after the release of the TS-82.  The TS-82 was so popular that demand was high for a cost-friendly spotter.  And, as the more budget-friendly one, it’s being featured first in one of the best NightForce spotting scope reviews online.

Which is the Best Nightforce Spotting Scope for You?

It’s true to say that every hunter would gladly have a NightForce spotter in their hunting tool bag.  And, any one of NightForce’s optics would truly leave a hunter impressed and happy.

Now, as for the TS-80 spotter, you’d be a fool to let the lack of ratings online be an indication of low performance.  In fact, it has my highest recommendation out of the two.  It has excellent value between the two, great optical quality, and it gets the job done.

And, there’s no arguing that the construction, ergonomics, and ease-of-use of the TS-80 is its specialty.  It can literally be used in the hands of hunters of all kinds of skill levels – good, bad, expert, the TS-80 is no discriminator of persons.

But, the TS-82 is a scope worthy of its roughly $2600 price tag, and is definitely tough enough to play with the big boys in the high-end spotter scope world.  And, if you like the interchangeable feature about it, this is your option.

But typically, hunters don’t usually come around to buying the second eyepiece, and that’s also where the TS-80 gets a hand up.  The TS-82 is up $1100 over the TS-80!  Mind you, there is the APO fluorite lenses, the aluminum body, and the interchangeable eyepieces.  But, is it worth $1100 more than the already fine TS-80?

All in all, the TS-80 takes home the gold today, but if money is no obstacle for you, the TS-82 is all yours.

Nightforce: Their Reputation Precedes Them

Although the NightForce spotter family is small, the company only delved into the spotting line because of the demand from customers to expand their product base.

While their rifle scope’s reputation precedes them, it was only a matter of time.  Hunters will be giddy with joy since the same quality that gets put into their rifle scopes will be seen in their spotters.

And, as for the high price, spotting scopes are rarely useful for real-life hunting conditions if it hasn’t reached a certain level of quality.  And, of course, with quality comes cost.  You won’t be disappointed with the force of a Nightforce in your hunt.
