Barska Scope Reviews: Budget-Friendly Rifle Scopes & Spotting Scopes

Barska Scope Reviews

Barska has been known to have it all... low budget optics to pricier options, bare basics to all the toppings, and most of their optics have sported every color under the sun.

The brand caters to every type of outdoor enthusiast that you can think of, and with all the options and definitely for the low prices, they're worth a purchase every now and then - especially if you're new to optics.

Barska is a great brand to start with for the entry level user or young hunter.

Barska Rifle Scope Reviews

Barska has always been dedicated to ensuring the best prices possible for hunters, target shooters, and the tactical fanatic, so if you're looking for a cheap but reliable rifle scope, these Barska scopes are exactly what you need.

They have a huge inventory to explore, and it can give you some head dizziness just trying to figure out where to start. But, the below product include some of the most popular Barska rifle scopes among hunters to date.

While some of Barska's scopes are a hit and miss among consumers, there are some favorites that take home the gold when it comes to clarity, low light hunting, and even long range hunting. They all have the star-favorite 30/30 cross hair, large 50mm objective diameter lens and reticles in the second focal plane.

And the good news is, you're typically not going to spend more than $200 on a Barska rifle scope. In fact, our line-up includes some of the best of what Barska has to offer, and they're all under $100! For an entry level scope for a beginner or no-nonsense and no-frills hunter, these are a bargain!

Should You Buy a Barska Scope?

Barska rifles scopes are for the hunter who doesn't want to fork out more than he has to for an optic that can get the job done. Cheap, affordable, economical, and budget-friendly are all price ranges that are associated with the nation-wide brand.

If you're looking to mount an entry level scope on your son's .22, the Huntmaster 3-9X50 is an excellent optic to start with. For roughly $50, it's worth it. But, if you're more of a long range hunting kinda guy that still doesn't want to dish out top dollar prices, the AO Varmint will get you there for under $100.

The Huntmaster Pro is another story. It's still a scope that I'd consider in the entry level department but is outfitted for a little more sass than all other scopes in its competing price range. It has the center-lit illuminated reticle, the all-purpose and versatile 3-12X power range, and fast focus eyepiece. This would be the pick of the lot if you're wanting to put down some cash today.

Although Barska is in the hunting optics industry, I'd say their strength is better seen in their tactical series of rifle scopes. But, with the prices that really can't be beat, it's definitely worth giving them a shot.

If you're still not sure about it, you could always mount your rifle with a Barska until you can save enough cash for that lifetime purchase. That should give you more time to do a little research on some mouth drooling rifle scope brands that are on the top of your wish list. But who knows, by the time you've saved enough, your little Barska just might have impressed you enough to keep its cute, little tube body mounted on your rifle or to upgrade within the company.

With prices like these, you really don't have anything to lose. Go ahead, give it a shot.

  1. We ordered some scopes from a distributor of theirs and one was faulty. When we contacted them they said they would not replace it because we did not order it from their website and it had no warranty. Not only is that poor business practice it is illegal in most if not all states. We have never run into a situation ever where anyone has done this to a shop trying to carry their merchandise. Unless you are in California you can't even sue them to get your money back. As a gun shop that takes pride in selling quality merchandise that has upstanding warranty & service, we recommend that no one should buy their product unless you like gambling with your money.

    • Thanks for letting us know about your experience with Barska regarding the warranty. Unfortunately, their warranty can be really confusing, and my understanding is that within the first 21 days, Barska will not honor the warranty as they expect it to be returned to the distributor for warranty coverage. It's usually going to be a replacement. After that time frame, it's assumed Barska will pick up warranty coverage. They are very specific about proof of purchase from either Barska or an authorized dealer. I'm sorry to hear that it wasn't honored.
